Chlorogalum pomeridianum

Fragrant native lily blooms in the gloaming and early evening. Profuse flower displays. A completely drought-tolerant plant in full sun with good drainage. Native Californians roasted the bulbs for food (but only the inner core is edible); also the whole bulbs function well as field soap (hence the common name).
