Rhus trilobata

A deciduous shrub growing 3-8 feet tall and as wide, squaw bush resembles poison oak (same family) but is not toxic. Yellow flowers in spring emerge before this plant leafs out, then bright orange-red edible berries follow in late summer, with gorgeous yellow and red foliage in fall. This is an excellent bird plant for the habitat garden.
