A unique ground cover which can root from the stems. Two green waxy leaves lay flat on the ground with red stems, in summer sun they let off a unique fragrance. They can get to be a mound of about 2.5' tall, but spread horizontally quite steadily. Spikes of odd white flowers which look something like Lavender, but with larger, rounded petals (Mar-Sept). Likes wet alkaline soils near marsh and creek edges. Many medicinal uses. |
